In our Pawesome Places: The Palm Beaches episode, Dr. Will visits Sailfish Marina, boards the water taxi, and enjoys a scenic and convenient way to reach Peanut Island in just about 10 minutes from Singer Island. Once on Peanut Island, he strolls the shady 1.25-mile walking trail, taking in the island’s colorful history. As a pet-friendly escape, the island allows leashed dogs on the beach, an ideal day trip for adventurers and their pups looking for sun, sand, and salty sea life.

From its carefully organized thrift shop in Juno Beach to the dedicated volunteers caring for hundreds of cats in Palm Beach County, every dollar spent and every item donated helps provide vital medical care, food, and forever homes. It’s a community-powered haven of hope where compassion, retail therapy, and feline love come together for a pawsome cause!

With more than 80,000 dogs saved and cared for since 2008, their team delivers gold-standard medical care, behavior support, and second chances to dogs of every size and story. It’s a place where tails wag freely, love transforms lives, and rescue really does mean hope, and Dr. Will gets up close with the dogs and the incredible people who dedicate their days to healing and happy endings.
